Please submit one template, including any individual comments you may wish to add. Residents are
encouraged to personalize, edit, shorten, expand, or supplement the templates to reflect their own views

Choose this template if your primary concern is the historic significance of the Shaker Lakes
Parklands, the dams, the lakes, and the nationally recognized historic resources affected by the
project.
2. INTERCONNECTED LAKES & PARKLANDS
Choose this template if your primary concern is that the lakes, dams, Doan Brook, and surrounding
parklands function as an interconnected landscape and should be evaluated together rather than as
isolated features.
3. TREES & HABITAT
Choose this template if your primary concern is the removal of mature trees, loss of shade, impacts to
birds and habitat, and changes to the ecological character of the parklands, including existing
wetlands, open reaches, and riparian areas.
4. PARKLANDS & RECREATION
Choose this template if your primary concern is public use of the parklands, including walking,
fishing, boating, nature observation, recreation, scenery, and long-term community enjoyment of the
area.
5. WILDLIFE, BIODIVERSITY & ECOLOGY
Choose this template if your primary concern is wildlife, migratory birds, wetlands, aquatic habitat,
biodiversity, and the long-term ecological health of the Shaker Lakes Parklands.
6. FLOODING, SAFETY & ENGINEERING
Choose this template if your primary concern is flooding, dam-safety assumptions, hydraulic
modeling, engineering alternatives, and long-term watershed performance.
